Remote Accountant

Our client, a forward-thinking organization based in Cape Town , is looking for a dedicated Remote Accountant to manage its financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax laws.
• Support external auditors with necessary documentation and information.
• Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 4 years of accounting experience.
• Proven experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.
