Remote Senior Accountant

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join their fully remote finance department. This position is crucial for maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization, providing comprehensive accounting support from a remote setting. You will be responsible for managing complex accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to accurate and timely financial reporting, all while working from the comfort of your home.

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Provide financial insights and support to cross-functional teams on an ongoing basis.
• Manage external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
  Professional accounting certification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA) is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience, with substantial exposure to financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a remote work environment.
• Expertise in accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
• Deep understanding of financial accounting principles (IFRS) and tax laws.
