Senior Billing & Revenue Accountant

In this fully remote position, you'll play a critical part in ensuring billing accuracy, streamlining workflows, and collaborating across departments to uphold operational excellence.

• Execute end-to-end billing processes, preparing and reviewing invoices across a comprehensive product catalog.
• Accurately interpret and apply contractual billing terms, including pricing, renewal, and usage-based adjustments.
• Manage frequent billing modifications and contract amendments, maintaining meticulous documentation and system updates.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions such as credits and adjustments.
• Serve as a primary contact for customer inquiries related to billing, effectively communicating invoice details, contract terms, and credits.
• Support month-end close activities with relevant schedules and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance by supporting sales tax filings across multiple U.S. states and maintaining accurate billing records.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements in systems like Net Suite, Zuora, and Excel.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of five years’ hands-on billing experience in a SaaS or subscription-based environment.
• Strong proficiency with Net Suite; experience with Zuora is highly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of complex billing arrangements, contractual translation, and accounting impacts.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex billing issues clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Experience with Zuora or similar billing platforms.
• Knowledge of sales tax compliance in multiple U.S. states.
• Exposure to revenue recognition processes.
• Familiarity with related systems such as Salesforce or other AR automation tools.

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least five years of relevant billing experience within a SaaS or similar subscription business.
