The successful candidate will play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services, and supporting the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.
- Managing the preparation and submission of corporation tax, VAT, and personal tax returns
, including those for directors, high-net-worth individuals, sole traders, and owner-managed businesses. - Providing clients with personal tax planning advice
, helping individuals maximise tax efficiencies and ensuring compliance with current legislation. - Advising clients on a broad range of personal tax matters, including income tax, capital gains tax, dividend planning, and self-assessment requirements.
- Providing clients with accounting, business, and tax advice.
- Supporting clients with management accounts, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing mentorship where required.
- Assisting with business development opportunities and identifying value-added services for clients.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting partners with ad hoc projects and client assignments.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT, and personal taxation
. - Proven experience preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and advising clients on personal tax matters.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, Sage, or similar.
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses, directors, and SMEs.
- Exposure to personal tax planning and advisory services.
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and business owners on tax-efficient planning strategies.
- Previous experience reviewing junior staff work.
