An established and growing specialist accountancy practice based in Wilmslow is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their general accounts team.
The role would suit an experienced practice accountant who is comfortable managing their own workload and preparing accounts through to review stage. You will work with a varied portfolio of companies, LLPs and sole traders, handling accounts preparation, corporation tax and client queries.
The firm has a strong focus on developing its people internally and provides structured training and support, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their accountancy practice career.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare year-end accounts for companies, LLPs and sole traders
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns
- Manage your own portfolio and workload
- Deal directly with clients and resolve queries
- Chase and obtain outstanding information from clients
- Manage multiple jobs at different stages of completion
- Prepare accounts to FRS 102 / FRS 105
- Complete work through to manager review stage
- Respond to review points and make any necessary amendments
- Build strong and professional client relationships
- Work closely with managers and senior members of the team
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing year-end accounts
- Good understanding of corporation tax
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients
- Experience managing your own workload and portfolio
- Able to prepare accounts through to review stage
- Experience with FRS 102 / FRS 105
- Medical-sector experience is beneficial but not essential, with full training provided
- ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying
- AAT qualified or studying
- QBE candidates with relevant practice experience will also be considered
- Study support available for candidates working towards professional qualifications
- Hybrid working available following initial training
- Typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
- Flexible working between 8:00am and 6:00pm
- Core hours of 10:00am - 4:00pm
- Suitable for candidates commuting from Wilmslow, Stockport, Macclesfield and surrounding areas
- Parking pass available as part of the package
- £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
