Director – Private Client Group

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Director
- Private Client Group to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities Act as a primary advisor to high-net-worth clients, delivering thoughtful tax planning and compliance solutions across individual, trust, estate, and pass-through entity matters

Oversee complex tax engagements from planning through execution, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm standards

Review advanced individual, fiduciary, and partnership tax returns and related deliverables

Partner with clients’ external advisors to address multi-dimensional tax and wealth considerations

Lead, mentor, and develop Managers and Senior Managers, providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback

Support Partners in strengthening long-term client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services

Monitor changes in tax legislation and translate developments into practical guidance for clients and internal teams Requirements
10+ years of progressive public accounting experience

Strong experience with high-net-worth taxation

Demonstrated experience with individual, trust, estate, and partnership tax matters

Prior experience supervising teams and reviewing complex tax work Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with clients and colleagues

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously CPA preferred
