Tax Semi-Senior - Personal Tax

Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 DOE
Hybrid Working: 3 days office / 2 days home

Our client is a well-established specialist accountancy practice with a strong reputation within the medical sector, providing accountancy and taxation services to a wide range of medical professionals and associated businesses.
They are seeking a Tax Semi-Senior to join their growing tax team, with a particular focus on personal tax. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, prepare tax returns and deal directly with clients, while developing their technical knowledge and advisory experience within a specialist environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Tax Semi-Senior or Tax Senior looking to develop their career within a supportive practice, with full training provided on the specialist aspects of working with medical clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, taking responsibility for the preparation and submission of personal tax returns.
- Prepare a high volume of personal tax returns accurately and efficiently, working to relevant deadlines.
- Deal directly with clients, responding to queries and providing clear guidance on their personal tax affairs.
- Review client information, identify missing information and liaise with clients to obtain the necessary details.
- Assist with tax planning and advisory work where appropriate, developing a broader understanding of clients' tax requirements.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing a professional and personable service.
- Work closely with senior members of the tax team and other departments to ensure clients receive a joined-up service.
- Develop an understanding of the specialist tax considerations associated with medical professionals and their businesses.
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong experience preparing personal tax returns and managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Experience dealing directly with clients and handling tax-related queries.
- Candidates who have prepared a high volume of personal tax returns will be particularly well suited to the role.
- Experience with in the medical sector is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA or AAT part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Candidates currently studying towards a professional tax or accountancy qualification will also be considered.
Hybrid working available following an initial period of office-based training and development.
Typical working arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home.
Flexible working hours available, with core hours of 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Start times can be varied between 8:00am and 10:00am, allowing employees to finish earlier where required.
Accessible for candidates commuting from areas including Stockport, Macclesfield and surrounding areas.
Salary & Benefits- Salary of £30,000 - £38,000, dependent on experience.
