Tax Director

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (commutable distance from San Francisco)

An independent CPA firm with a tax practice focused on high net worth and ultra high net worth families. The culture is warm and collaborative, and the people like each other.

This is a senior leadership role with an imminent path to partner. You will oversee the tax practice serving HNW/UHNW families across individual, corporate, and LLC work, while building client relationships and helping shape the firm's growth.

• Lead and oversee a portfolio of HNW/UHNW families and related entities
• Serve as trusted advisor on complex planning, structuring, and compliance
• Develop new client relationships and expand existing ones
• Supervise managers and senior managers, and drive quality across the practice
• Partner with firm leadership on strategy, pricing, and talent

• 15+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong individual tax expertise with entity and UHNW experience
• CPA required
• Demonstrated leadership, business development, and client retention skills
• Ready for partnership in the near term

• On site full time for the first 3 months, then 2 days work from home per week
• Busy season: 60-70 hours per week
• Off season: 40 hours per week
• Health insurance: $80/month employee premium for individual coverage, $60/month additional for family
