Position: Senior Accountant (Professional Services)
A well-known international organisation is seeking a commercially minded Financial Accountant to join its Belfast finance function on an initial 12-month contract. This position offers the opportunity to work within a large, multi-jurisdictional business while gaining exposure to complex financial reporting, operational finance and stakeholder management activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial controls, reporting requirements and day-to-day finance activities are delivered efficiently and accurately. Candidate Profile We're keen to speak with accountants who can demonstrate:
An accounting qualification together with 3-5 years' post-qualified experience Previous exposure to finance operations within a corporate, shared service or professional environment The confidence to engage with senior management and challenge constructively where required Strong technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of financial controls A track record of identifying and delivering process improvements Core Duties Reporting into the finance leadership team, responsibilities will include:
Delivering monthly financial and management information to support business decision-making Assisting with statutory reporting requirements and liaising with external auditors throughout year-end audits Maintaining balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and financial reviews Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles across the business Coordinating supplier payments, intercompany transactions and finance administration activities Managing key month-end accounting responsibilities to ensure reporting deadlines are achieved Monitoring cash positions and maintaining relationships with banking partners Why Consider This Role?
