Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Associate (CPA) to join their growing public accounting firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients and preparing a variety of business and individual tax returns in a collaborative, close-knit environment. This role is located in Annapolis, and is open to remote candidates, preferably within driving distance.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA with several years of public accounting experience and the ability to provide review-level expertise and sign-off support as needed. This role offers a unique opportunity to become an integral part of a small but growing firm where your contributions will have a direct impact on client relationships and business growth.

Responsibilities- Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Work directly with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions
- Review financial data and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist with tax planning and tax compliance activities
- Research and resolve client tax issues as needed
- Maintain strong client relationships through timely and professional communication
- Collaborate with firm leadership and staff to support client service initiatives
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice
- Active CPA license required
- 3-5 years of public accounting and tax preparation experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and signing individual and business tax returns
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Excellent communication, organization, and client-facing skills
- Quick Books experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-firm environment
Compensation
$100K+ annually, with the final salary determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, licensure, and relevant certifications. The compensation range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
