Remote CAS Staff Accountant | Independent CPA Firm

We are hiring a CAS Staff Accountant to join our Client Accounting Advisory Services team — a diverse, client-facing practice serving nonprofits, startups, and businesses across a wide range of sizes and industries. • Maintain general ledgers and record journal entries across a portfolio of client accounts
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Support monthly and year-end close processes
• Work with balance sheets, income statements, trial balances, and charts of accounts
• Support both cash and accrual basis accounting
• Assist with payroll processing and quarterly and annual payroll tax filings
• Identify discrepancies and help resolve accounting issues
• Communicate directly with clients and team members to gather information and keep work moving
• Take on increasingly complex responsibilities as your experience and confidence grow

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
• 1+ years of Public Accounting CAS Experience
• Strong foundation in fundamental accounting concepts and financial statements
• Experience with or exposure to payroll processing and payroll tax filings
• Quick Books proficiency preferred — Online or Desktop
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Willing to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

• Base salary up to $70,000
