Audit Supervisor

A growing regional accounting firm is seeking an Audit Supervisor.

This role offers a clear path to advancement and a balanced work-from-home and office setup. The position is based in either our West Los Angeles or Woodland Hills offices with relocation support available.

The Supervisor serves as the primary contact between the Partner, the client, and the team. Responsible for overseeing multiple auditing and accounting projects, the Supervisor also manages staff, schedules engagements, and nurtures client relationships. Additionally, Supervisors play a key role in business development efforts for the firm.

Responsibilities Oversees multiple audit and review engagements concurrently

Maintains regular communication with clients to understand their business and control systems

Keeps the Partner informed of client account developments and proposes solutions for any issues

Schedules engagements effectively and adheres to budgets

Reviews financial statements and client deliverables

Supervises and trains senior accountants and staff

Contributes to staff evaluations, reviews, and performance counseling

Participates in firm's business development initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Minimum of five years experience in public accounting

Active CPA license required

Willingness to travel to client locations

Preferred experience in industries such as manufacturing, technology, or consumer products

Technical proficiency in areas like Revenue Recognition, Leases, Stock-Based Compensation, and Complex Debt & Financial Instruments Thorough knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards

Ability to lead, review, and train staff members effectively
