Are you a dynamic financial leader and change agent looking for your next high-impact role? We are a thriving, mid-sized (~$400M revenue) private equity-backed manufacturing and distribution company on a rapid growth trajectory—and we are looking for a Corporate Controller to elevate and spearhead our accounting organization!
This newly created leadership role serves as our resident US GAAP expert, transformation leader, and a key business partner to executive leadership. As we gear up for an exciting phase of expansion—including upcoming M&A acquisitions, process modernization, and building scalable systems for future strategic milestones (including potential public-market readiness)—you will play a crucial role in modernizing and shaping our financial foundation.
If you thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment, love streamlining operations, and want the flexibility of a modern, low-friction hybrid work culture (
with requirement options as flexible as once a month or once a quarter in-office
), we want to hear from you!
- Oversee corporate financial reporting, ensuring all financial statements, consolidations, and disclosures are fully GAAP-compliant and audit-ready.
- Directly mentor, inspire, and elevate an established accounting team of 12 professionals across general ledger, financial reporting, and operational accounting.
- Act as a true change agent by evaluating, modernizing, and optimizing our GL structure, close processes, and ERP systems for speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Spearhead critical special projects, including transaction accounting, acquisition integration, and capital structure expansion.
- Develop scalable, best-in-class accounting policies, maintain a robust internal controls environment, and drive operational best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors to ensure seamless audit execution.
- Partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, and Executive Leadership on high-level ad-hoc analyses and key growth decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification required.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, ideally combining Big 4 / Tier 2 public accounting with industry experience in manufacturing or distribution.
- Proven track record as a change agent—experienced in modernizing accounting operations, scaling teams, and optimizing financial processes.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of US GAAP, financial consolidations, and internal controls.
- Capital markets experience (IPO readiness, debt offerings, or SEC reporting) is a plus, but a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership mindset is key!
- Hands-on experience with modern ERPs (e.g., Net Suite, Sage Intacct) and contemporary reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex accounting concepts into actionable strategic insights for cross-functional partners.
