Senior Internal Auditor

• Plan, perform, and report on internal audits of business processes, systems, and controls.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
• Identify control deficiencies, operational inefficiencies, and areas of non‑compliance.
• Develop practical and cost‑effective recommendations for remediation of identified issues.
• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations with management.
• Conduct special investigations as requested by senior management or the audit committee.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging risks, and relevant regulatory changes.
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with management and external auditors.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function’s methodologies and tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is required; CISA, CA(SA), or ACCA are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), risk assessment, and audit methodologies.
• Experience in the financial services or technology sector is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in audit management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• High level of integrity and professional skepticism.
