Lead payroll operations at Canalta’s Corporate Home Office in Drumheller, Alberta, with a focus on accuracy and team success. This position requires expertise in payroll legislation and operations.

As a Payroll Lead, you will oversee the payroll department's efforts in delivering precise and timely services. The ideal candidate will hold a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation and have substantial payroll processing experience.

Your role involves ensuring compliance and improving payroll efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately

• Provide daily guidance to Payroll team members

• Review payroll for compliance with legislation

• Assist with WCB administration across provinces

• Build team knowledge through training and documentation

Requirements:

• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation

• Proven payroll processing experience

• In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll laws

• Leadership experience preferable

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
