Senior Financial Accountant - Fully Remote

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness through regular reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful explanations for financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting function.

• A relevant Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and South African accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
