Senior Financial Accountant - Remote

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function.
• Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of learning and development.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and South African accounting standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with financial modeling and data analysis is a plus.
