Business Accountant

You will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including financial analysis, budgeting support, management reporting, and ensuring compliance. • Provide comprehensive accounting support to a specific business unit or division.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, including variance explanations.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Develop financial models and perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with operational teams to understand business drivers and financial performance.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a business or management accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience in the technology or service industry is an advantage.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to accuracy.

This role is primarily remote but requires occasional visits to the Centurion, Gauteng office.
