What You Will Do:

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable activities, including invoice review, coding, vendor communication, payment processing, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy while supporting timely month-end close activities.
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliations and credit card reconciliations, to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with 1099 form preparation, sales and use tax support, audit preparation, and documentation requests.
• Collaborate with operations, vendors, and internal leadership to ensure construction-related expenses are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Support financial statements, depreciation schedules, and other corporate accounting needs as the organization continues to grow.

What You Will Bring:

• You have hands-on experience with full-cycle accounts payable and understand the importance of accuracy, timeliness, and strong vendor relationships.
• You can prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and work confidently within the general ledger and monthly accounting close process.
• You understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and can apply sound accounting judgment to daily transactions.
• You are comfortable using accounting software and Excel or similar tools to organize information, research variances, and maintain clean records.
• You bring strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills in a deadline-driven accounting environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in construction accounting, materials supply, governmental accounting, or a related operational accounting environment is valued.
• Quick Books Pro Advisor certification or demonstrated advanced Quick Books proficiency is valued for accurately managing accounts payable activity, reconciliations, and financial records.
• Experience supporting financial statements, balance sheets, sales and use tax, 1099 reporting, or audit preparation is a plus.
• An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is welcomed, though relevant practical experience is also valued.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position pays $20 to $30 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. CHDS offers health insurance, work-from-home flexibility within the hybrid schedule, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
