Senior Accountant - Implementation Project - REMOTE

SST is seeking an  Experienced Senior Accountant  in the Client Accounting & Advisory Services in the Dallas area.  The Senior Accountant in CAAS serves as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering full-cycle accounting services and strategic financial guidance. This role combines technical accounting expertise with client relationship management and process improvement. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients succeed through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and technology-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities -  Monday-Friday 100% on-site role
~ Manage full-cycle outsourced accounting services, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow
~ Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP
~ Oversee sales tax and payroll filings; resolve complex tax issues and notices
~ Conduct accounting reviews in preparation for audits, tax returns, and year-end close
~ Act as a strategic advisor, providing financial insights and recommendations to support client decision-making
~ Meet with clients regularly to review financial performance, KPIs, and growth opportunities
~ Identify and recommend improvements to clients’ accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting structures
~ Review work performed by team members and provide coaching and feedback
~ Coordinate with client internal accounting teams and external auditors as needed
~ Leverage platforms like Quick Books Online, Sage Intacct and other cloud-based tools to streamline workflows
~ Stay current on emerging accounting technologies and industry trends  Education & Licenses  Qualifications
~ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance  required  ; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
~4+ years  of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or client advisory setting
~ Advanced proficiency in Quick Books Online and other accounting platforms
~ Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
~ Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced environment.
