Interim Billing & Revenue Manager or Senior Manager

Our client, a healthcare technology company, is seeking an Interim Billing & Revenue Manager / Senior Manager to lead and scale its billing and accounts receivable function.

This role is fully remote, and has an anticipated duration of 7 months.

Responsibilities:

• Lead billing and accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, and issue resolution
• Manage and develop the billing and AR team while establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations
• Serve as the escalation point for complex billing matters, collection challenges, and customer account discrepancies
• Establish and monitor performance metrics related to aging, collections, billing accuracy, cash flow, and operational effectiveness
• Partner with Finance and customer-facing teams to review contracts, interpret billing requirements, and resolve payment issues
• Support month-end close, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
• Strengthen billing and collections policies, internal controls, process documentation, and operating procedures
• Identify and implement automation, system enhancements, and workflow improvements that support growth and scalability
• Analyze billing and receivables trends and provide leadership with actionable insights into risks and opportunities

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue operations, accounting, or a related finance function
• Demonstrated leadership experience with ownership of a billing, collections, or accounts receivable team or function
• Strong knowledge of billing, collections, cash application, revenue recognition, U.S. GAAP, and month-end close
• Experience interpreting complex customer contracts and supporting varied billing arrangements
• Strong analytical, systems, spreadsheet, communication, and cross-functional business-partnering skills, with experience improving or automating finance processes
