Tax Manager

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Manager to join their White Plains, NY office.

• Manage and oversee a wide range of tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all client tax returns
• Review and oversee the preparation of complex individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, trust, and estate tax returns
• Provide high-level tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying tax-saving opportunities and ensuring compliance with evolving federal, state, local, and international tax laws
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships and communicating complex tax information clearly and pragmatically
• Manage and coordinate tax audits, inquiries, and notices from various tax authorities, representing clients as needed
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff, senior associates, and analysts, providing on-the-job training and performance evaluations
• Conduct complex tax research using online tools and prepare documentation of conclusions to resolve client tax issues
• Collaborate with other Adeptus teams (audit, business management, consulting) to provide holistic, 360-degree solutions for clients
• Contribute to firm practice development efforts and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Master’s in Taxation or MBA is a plus
• Minimum of 5-7 years of tax accounting experience
• Public accounting experience
• Experience in a supervisory role
• Deep understanding of tax laws and regulations
• CPA preferred
