Tax Senior

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Senior to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Complete and file tax returns ranging from straightforward to highly complex for a diverse client base
• Respond to inquiries from clients and taxing authorities while guiding strategic tax considerations
• Examine tax documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and proper reporting
• Develop forward-looking tax strategies to support clients’ financial objectives
• Evaluate client-provided financial information to optimize tax outcomes
• Interpret evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry developments to inform client advice
• Maintain adherence to applicable federal, state, and local tax requirements
• Coach junior team members and contribute to their technical and professional development
• Oversee multiple concurrent engagements to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
• Update senior leadership on project progress, risks, and emerging client matters

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline, master’s in taxation preferred
• 3+ years of experience as a tax preparer or similar role
• Comprehensive understanding of government tax laws
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• CPA preferred
