Senior Tax Manager

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Senior Tax Manager to join their Iselin, NJ office.

• Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, building trusted advisory relationships
• Manage and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and pass-through entities
• Identify tax planning opportunities and proactively advise clients on strategies, risks, and compliance matters
• Oversee engagement timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure profitability and quality standards
• Research and interpret complex tax issues and provide clear, practical guidance to clients and internal teams
• Stay current on tax law changes and assess impacts on clients and firm services
• Lead, mentor, and develop tax managers, seniors, and staff
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support career development
• Review technical work papers and returns to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience at a regional, national, or multi-national public accounting firm
• Real estate experience is a plus
• Ability to manage client and internal expectations, grow client relationships, and lead staff
• Proficient in the selling process, including meeting and corresponding with prospective new clients
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• CPA required
