Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Audit Senior to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities- Support engagement planning, accounting research, and staff supervision across audit, review, and compilation engagements
- Perform detailed reviews of audit, review, and compilation procedures and financial statements, while preparing and executing complex engagement procedures
- Research, analyze, and communicate technical accounting and auditing issues to staff, fostering the development of their technical expertise
- Coordinate workflow between staff and management by prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and monitoring engagement progress
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience supporting audit, review, and compilation engagements in a public accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, auditing standards, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to perform and review complex accounting and auditing procedures
- Experience conducting accounting research and analyzing technical issues
- CPA preferred
