Audit Partner-Architecture, Engineering & Construction

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek an Audit Partner, Architecture, Engineering, and Construction to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Lead and manage audit engagements for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) clients, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations
• Oversee and review audit work papers, financial statements, and related reports
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in financial matters
• Understand clients’ business objectives and provide insights to improve financial performance
• Provide guidance and mentorship to audit teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services
• Collaborate with partners and managers to foster a collaborative and efficient working environment
• Identify and assess risks associated with AEC engagements and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and firm policies
• Actively participate in business development activities, including client acquisition and relationship building
• Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and pursue new business within the AEC group
• Maintain a commitment to quality and excellence in audit services
• Conduct reviews of audit work papers and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to professional standards

• 12+ years of experience in audit
• Architecture, engineering, and construction industry experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in audit software and financial analysis tools
• Business development skills are preferred CPA required
