Title: Payroll Specialist - ADP (Remote Contract)

Duration: 3-Month Contract

Pay Rate: Up to $42/hour (W2)

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 3-month remote engagement for a Large Public Accounting Firm. This individual will be responsible for accurate and timely biweekly, multi-state payroll processing using ADP. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of payroll compliance and reconciliations.

• Process biweekly, multi-state payroll using ADP.
• Review payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, bonuses, and commissions.
• Audit payroll data, payroll registers, and gross-to-net calculations.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, deductions, garnishments, and benefit with holdings.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance on payroll changes, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Support W-2 processing, year-end activities, and payroll audits.
• Maintain payroll records, procedures, and internal controls.

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Direct experience processing payroll using ADP.
• Multi-state payroll processing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict payroll deadlines.
