Senior Tax Manager

Fully Remote | Permanent Position | Starting at $145,000 per year

Magnify is looking for a Senior Tax Manager who is ready to take ownership of complex tax engagements, lead client relationships, and provide guidance on a wide range of tax matters. This is an opportunity for an experienced tax professional to apply their technical expertise while helping clients navigate tax compliance, planning, and financial reporting.

In this role, you’ll oversee tax return preparation and review, manage engagement deadlines, research complex tax issues, and provide practical recommendations to clients. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor other tax professionals and contribute to the quality and consistency of tax services.

• At least 5 years of experience in tax management, including responsibility for overseeing tax engagements and reviewing tax returns.
• An active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• A strong background preparing and reviewing S-Corporation, C-Corporation, individual, and LLC tax returns.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements, coordinating deadlines, and ensuring accurate and timely tax filings.
• The ability to research complex tax regulations, identify potential tax issues, and develop practical solutions for clients.
• Strong communication and client relationship management skills, with the ability to explain technical tax matters clearly.
• Experience providing guidance, reviewing work, and mentoring tax associates or other accounting professionals.

Additional experience that will help you stand out:
Experience with tax planning and advisory services, partnership tax returns, trusts, tax preparation software, and developing long-term client relationships.

• Manage tax engagements from planning through completion, ensuring accurate deliverables and timely filing of client tax returns.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, individuals, and LLCs.
• Research technical tax matters, evaluate regulatory changes, and develop recommendations to address client tax needs.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive communication and practical tax guidance.
• Oversee engagement timelines, manage competing priorities, and maintain high standards for accuracy and quality.
• Mentor and support junior tax professionals through technical guidance, return reviews, and constructive feedback.
• Identify opportunities to improve tax preparation processes, engagement efficiency, and the overall quality of client service.
• Collaborate with other accounting professionals to support tax planning, advisory initiatives, and clients’ broader financial objectives.
• Starting salary of $145,000 per year.
• Permanent, fully remote position.
