Remote HNW Tax Manager | Independent CPA Firm | Trust & Estate | Up to $175k+

Location: 100% Remote (United States)

Compensation: $120,000--$175,000+ base + discretionary performance bonus

Requirements: 5-6+ years HNW/Fiduciary Tax experience at a public accounting firm | CPA required

We are hiring a HNW Tax Manager to join a dedicated ultra-high-net-worth tax team --- little to no business entity work, sophisticated individual and trust and estate engagements, and a client base that includes venture capitalists, hedge fund professionals, entertainers, athletes, and high-earning professionals across a wide range of industries.

• Dedicated UHNW Practice --- This is not a generalist tax team that occasionally handles HNW clients. It is a dedicated ultra-high-net-worth practice focused exclusively on sophisticated individual, trust, and estate work. The clients are complex, the relationships are deep, and the work is genuinely interesting every day

• Lead and manage HNW individual, trust, and estate tax engagements for an ultra-high-net-worth client base
• Review complex 1040, 1041, and 706 returns across a sophisticated and varied client portfolio
• Advise clients directly on tax planning, wealth transfer, and estate strategies
• Collaborate with family office and fiduciary teams on comprehensive client engagements
• Mentor and develop senior associates and staff
• Collaborate with partners and senior leadership on client strategy and practice development
• Stay current on tax law changes affecting UHNW individuals, trusts, and estates

• Active CPA required
• 5+ years of HNW tax experience with a meaningful trust and estate focus
• Strong technical foundation in individual, trust, and estate taxation --- 1040, 1041, and 706
• Experience managing client relationships and reviewing the work of tax staff
• Comfortable advising HNW clients and their advisors directly on complex planning matters
• Self-directed and comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote environment

• Base salary $120,000--$175,000+, commensurate with experience

Senior Tax Managers with 8--10+ years of HNW and trust & estate experience compensation for this level reaches up to $225,000+ base with the same bonus structure.

Directors and Senior Directors with established HNW and trust & estate practices compensation for this level ranges from $225,000 to $290,000--$300,000+ base for exceptional candidates.
