E. Shaw group. We run the books for a growing portfolio of independent P&C agencies: commission reconciliation, agency bill, trust accounting, month-end close and reporting, working inside the agency's management system (Applied Epic, AMS
360, EZLynx, Hawk Soft, Momentum AMP) and the corresponding accounting software, whether the AMS's integrated accounting module or a separate general ledger such as Quick Books Online.

We are bringing on a senior bookkeeper who knows Momentum AMP inside and out to take ownership of a set of client engagements and to be the Momentum AMP authority for the rest of our team. This starts as a contract engagement of at least 6 months at 20-40 hours per week, remote, during US business hours. If it works well and both sides are interested, there is a clear path to a longer-term or full-time role.

This role offers the chance to set the technical bar for the team and ensure the accuracy and consistency that define Vitruvio's client experience.

• Own recurring bookkeeping for a portfolio of agency clients running on Momentum AMP: direct bill commission statement entry and reconciliation, agency bill receivables and carrier payables, bank and premium trust reconciliations, producer commission calculations, and month-end close and reporting.
• Work in the client’s Momentum AMP accounting module day to day, posting, reconciling and correcting transactions at the source.
• Take on cleanup and catch-up projects: unreconciled commission statements, duplicate or mis-posted transactions, periods that never closed, Momentum AMP-to-general-ledger tie-outs.
• Serve as the Momentum AMP subject-matter expert for Vitruvio’s production analysts: answer system-specific questions, review their Momentum AMP work, and document how things should be done.
• Join client calls when needed to walk agency owners and their staff through findings and open items.
• Work within Vitruvio’s task and documentation framework (Financial Cents, 1
  
  Password, Microsoft 365) and flag risks, blockers and scope questions early.

• 5-10 years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience at, or servicing, independent P&C insurance agencies. Five years is the minimum.
• Deep, current, day-to-day working knowledge of Momentum AMP (formerly Now Certs): commission tracking and reconciliation, agency bill invoicing and receivables, producer commission statements, and the Quick Books Online integration.
• Solid Quick Books Online skills and a clear understanding of how agency management system activity should flow into the general ledger.
• Fluency in agency accounting: direct vs. agency bill, premium trust, carrier and producer payables, commission agreements and rate exceptions, premium finance.
• Comfortable owning multiple clients at once, working independently and remotely, and communicating clearly in writing with colleagues and clients.
• Available 20-40 hours per week during US business hours, with flexibility around month-end.
• Nice to have: experience at an outsourced bookkeeping or accounting firm; exposure to a second agency management system; experience reviewing or training junior staff.

Hourly contract engagements start at $35/h, 20-40 hours per week, fully remote. Contractors who move into a full-time role at Vitruvio are eligible for our standard package: competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, unlimited PTO and remote work. We are looking for people who can commit to 6 months or more; other terms are flexible.
