Accounting Services Account Manager | US​/Canada ; Remote

The Account Manager at Specialized Accounting serves as the primary financial and relationship lead for a dedicated portfolio of hospitality and service-based clients, ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of their financials while overseeing a small team of bookkeepers. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of client accounting, from onboarding and training clients on our systems and processes, to driving the timely completion of monthly financial statements and delivering clear, helpful review videos.

You will coordinate and delegate day-to-day work, monitor task completion, and proactively identify and resolve process or communication gaps. As the main liaison between clients and our firm, you will respond promptly to questions, provide professional and reassuring guidance, and uphold Specialized Accounting’s standards in every interaction. Ultimately, this position is responsible for the overall success of each client assigned to your team.

This position will be remote with a full-time schedule, working 35-40 hours per week (7-8 hours per day). The majority of your work will be performed between 9:00 am - 5:00 pm CT and must be your first priority in terms of work/employment. You will be unable to work full-time elsewhere and satisfactorily complete the duties required of this position (i.e., it’s not a side hustle).

This role demands availability that aligns with our team’s operational needs, including essential meetings, collaborative projects, and client interactions during business hours. Our work environment values flexibility but also requires a degree of adaptability due to the need for real-time response and active engagement, and fixed availability periods cannot be accommodated in this position.

• Manage the performance of your bookkeeping team and the financials of all of your team's clients. This includes (but is not limited to):
  
  Overseeing the creation, delegation, and timely completion of all tasks for your clients
• Ensure prompt responses to client questions and concerns
• Identify process issues or gaps in communication or processes with clients' accounting
• Drive the timely delivery of monthly financial statements
• Prepare monthly review videos of client financials
• Manage the onboarding and training of clients onto Specialized Accounting's systems, processes, and procedures
• Manage a team of up to 4 bookkeepers, providing feedback, guidance, and constructive criticism
• Serve as the primary liaison between your clients and the company
• Ensure Specialized Accounting's standards and processes are adhered to
• This position is responsible for the oversight of a successful month end close for each of their clients
• Other duties as assigned

• 2+ years of experience in managing 100% of a client’s financials.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
