Senior Accountant; Remote

As Senior Accountant within our international Finance team, you’ll take a hands‑on role in accounting operations, month-end and year-end close, and global accounting and finance activities across Europe, APAC, and North America. Success in this role requires strong accounting fundamentals, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and sound judgment, along with the adaptability and initiative to tackle challenges, collaborate effectively, and proactively identify solutions and recommend next steps.

• Support and execute month-end and year-end close processes across multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and standard close entries.
• Proactively review accounting activity and supporting data to identify and investigate unusual activity or discrepancies and recommend appropriate next steps.
• Develop and maintain clear, organized, audit‑ready work papers to support financial reporting and external audits.
• Support regional and consolidated external audits and annual accounts filings, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors.
• Review and manage revenue recognition activities, including evaluating contractual terms, monitoring revenue schedules, and investigating discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and internal control standards.
• Coordinate US and international tax compliance activities, including indirect taxes, corporate income tax filings, and related regulatory requirements, in partnership with external advisors.
• Support broader Finance initiatives and ad hoc projects as business needs evolve, which may include insurance renewals and audits, ERP reporting enhancements, and collaboration with FP&A on data and reporting needs.
• Leverage emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to improve efficiency and data quality while applying technical knowledge and independent judgment to validate results.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent preferred.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a global, multi‑entity environment.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical application of US GAAP
• Experience with multi‑currency accounting and supporting external audits.
• General understanding of US and international tax compliance principles, including indirect taxes (Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST), with the ability to research unfamiliar requirements and collaborate with external advisors.
• Experience with ERP systems;
  Certinia (Financial Force) experience preferred. Familiarity with Avalara a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex accounting matters, exercise sound judgment, and develop thoughtful recommendations.
• Self‑directed, adaptable, and intellectually curious, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, learn unfamiliar processes, and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments, regions, and time zones in a remote environment.
