Accountant - Zealand Accounting & Taxation

• We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable Accountant to join our growing team remotely from India.
• This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in international accounting, particularly New Zealand taxation and compliance.

• Prepare annual financial statements for New Zealand companies, sole traders, partnerships, and trusts.
• Prepare New Zealand Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and other entities.
• Prepare GST returns and reconciliations.
• Process bookkeeping transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reviews, and year-end adjustments.
• Prepare working papers and supporting schedules for financial statements and tax returns.
• Assist with PAYE, payroll, and other tax compliance requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate queries to senior accountants.
• Maintain accurate client records and update internal CRM systems.
• Work closely with our New Zealand team to ensure timely completion of client assignments.
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company procedures.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statements.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently from home and meet deadlines.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home-working environment.

• Previous experience working with a New Zealand or Australian accounting firm.
• Knowledge of New Zealand GST, Income Tax, and accounting requirements.
• Experience with MYOB, Xero, or similar accounting software.
• Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns for overseas clients.
• CA Inter, CA Qualified, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualifications.

• Previous New Zealand accounting experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Training and guidance will be provided to suitable candidates with strong accounting fundamentals.
