Accounting Manager - SaaS Technology Startup - Remote - QBO

Our client is a growing SaaS technology startup seeking a results-driven Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance team. This 100% remote direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys ownership, can lead an offshore accounting team, and wants to build scalable processes that support continued growth.

You’ll have meaningful visibility and impact, partnering closely with the CFO to strengthen accounting operations, improve efficiency, and evolve processes as the business scales. The ideal candidate is energized by a fast-paced, evolving environment, curious about AI and emerging technologies, and excited to bring new ideas to modernizing accounting processes and driving greater efficiency.

• Own day-to-day accounting operations and the full-cycle GL process, including AP, AR, cash management, and intercompany accounting
• Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, amortization, reconciliations, and related accounting schedules
• Lead the offshore accounting team by providing direction, reviewing work, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting activities
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, research discrepancies, and ensure accurate classification and recording of transactions
• Maintain accounting schedules, including debt amortization, and support financial statement preparation and management reporting
• Support SaaS revenue accounting, including customer billing, deferred revenue, revenue recognition, and related reconciliations; ASC 606 experience is a plus
• Serve as a key contact for annual audits, tax compliance, and external accounting and finance partners
• Improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls as the company grows, including identifying opportunities to leverage automation and AI
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and company leadership to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate and timely financial information

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, month-end close, GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth startup environment
• Exposure to revenue accounting, deferred revenue, customer billing, and ASC 606 is a plus
• Skilled leading or overseeing an offshore accounting team, including reviewing work and ensuring timely and accurate deliverables
• Strong experience with accounting processes and schedules, including intercompany accounting, amortization, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Proficiency with Quick Books Online (QBO), Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets, with a demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, excellent business acumen
