Accounts Receivable Specialist

Alder frame builds the software distributors and manufacturers use to move an order from sales to the warehouse to the invoice. Our own invoicing is simpler: monthly support and maintenance fees, plus project milestones that clients sign off. We're hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to run it.

You send each invoice when a milestone is approved or a month closes, apply payments as they come in and follow up on late ones. Most clients pay by ACH. A few still mail checks, and some pay against purchase orders that need the PO number on every invoice. If a payment doesn't match an invoice, you find out why before you apply it.

• Monthly and milestone invoices, with the PO numbers and contract references each client asks for
• Applying ACH, wire and check payments and matching them to open invoices
• Reminder emails and calls on overdue balances, with notes on each account
• A weekly aging report for our finance manager
• Month-end reconciliation of receivables against the bank

• At least a year in accounts receivable, billing or collections
• Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage Intacct or a similar accounting system
• Excel: lookups, filters and pivot tables
• A quiet place to work and a reliable internet connection

• Billing for a software or services company
• or a similar invoicing tool

Hours are within U.S. business hours, agreed with you.
