Job Overview- The Program Assistant supports the Special Loan Management team by processing and organizing defaulted loans and grants.
- This role involves assisting managers and employees with daily office needs and handling general administrative activities.
- The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to work independently.
Salary: $44,880 - $56,100
Note: The NJEDA currently offers a hybrid work schedule for up to 2 days of telecommute work from home. To participate, you will be required to have high speed home internet access and a manager's approval. This program does not supersede the "New Jersey First Act", which requires newly hired NJEDA employees to establish and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
ResponsibilitiesDaily Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain customer/product documents in SharePoint.
- Coordinate mailing and filing of correspondence and documents.
- Track SLM transfers in CRM and notify servicing officers.
- Provide general administrative support, including organizing appointments and arranging calls.
- Ensure efficient management and organization of loan and grant documentation to support the Special Loan Management team.
- Act as a liaison for internal and external clients, facilitating effective communication and operational efficiency.
- Report directly to the department manager and provide support to team members in the Special Loan Management department.
Skills and Qualifications Technical Skills:
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in grammar.
- Understanding of loan and grant documents, internal approval documents and correspondence.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good team player.
- Administrative Assistant Experience.
- Experience in loan work out and collections, or commercial lending preferred.
- Advanced degree or industry specific certification may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
- High School Diploma.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and use Microsoft Dynamics CRM software.
- NJEDA utilizes Microsoft as the core application platform and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Minimal physical demands and ability to work out normal business hours.
- Travel expected when necessary for business operations.
- Staff are required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
