Job Description The Spirit of the Position

The Legal Administrator supports the Home Office Legal Team with a commitment to assist LAZ Parking in meeting professional internal and external requirements, as well as maintaining efficiency across the Legal Department. This role provides administrative and organizational support to the Legal Department, support services for our General Counsel, ensures smooth daily department operations, efficient document management, and coordination of legal processes.

This role serves as a key liaison between the legal team and other departments, external counsel, as well as helping maintain compliance and confidentiality in all matters.

Responsibilities
  • Reports to General Counsel
  • Primary administrator of the Legal Department’s in house contract lifecycle management platform
  • Administrator of legal invoicing platform including processing invoices, setting up matters and managing outside counsel billing
  • Manage calendar for General Counsel of Legal Department
  • Manage and maintain expense reports for General Counsel on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.
  • Book travel for General Counsel as well as create agendas and arrange travel and meetings
  • Plan and execute logistics for Legal events (i.e. Legal retreats, meetings, lunches, LAZ University events etc.).
  • Handle incoming phone calls and emails from both employees, clients, and vendors related to Legal inquiries. Maintain relationships with external legal service providers and monitor budgets.
  • Maintain relationships with external legal service providers including monitoring budgets, quarterly meetings, and new matters.
  • Schedule meetings for various Legal team members as well as with external contacts.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, memorandums, applications, certificates, permits and other materials from copy, rough drafts and other sources.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems.
  • Other related duties as required.
Skills
  • Prior experience with Evisort or other contract management lifecycle platform desired, but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, strong Internet skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks to completion in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with Legal team members, as well as independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Proven problem‑solving abilities.
  • Attention‑to‑detail and high‑level of accuracy required.
  • Commitment to confidentiality required.
Experience
  • 2-4 years administrative experience.
  • 2-4 years related Legal administration experience preferred, not required.
Location

Hybrid, working three days per week from Hartford home office and two days remote / telecommute.
