Job Description: Florida Housing is seeking a Data Management Specialist. Are you naturally inquisitive? Do you enjoy searching for clues? Is “research” your middle name? We want to speak with you! The Data Management Specialist (DMS) is a primary steward of the daily data lifecycle. Duties include analyzing, researching, and validating data to identify errors, omissions, and anomalies. Correcting errors, updating records, and assisting business unit staff and teammates with general and historical data entry tasks are part of a daily routine.
This is a hands‑on data position with frequent oral and written communication exchanges, data input, and computer use.
Position Requirements: The successful applicant will have:
- This is a full‑time, hourly, in‑office position, in an open office work environment
- Daily onsite attendance during regular business hours is required
- Learn about, and demonstrate a deep understanding of programmatic data elements, associated anomalies, and the corrective actions required to cure the anomalies
- Utilize reports and checklists to identify and correct conflicting data
- Excellent communication, requirements gathering, and documentation skills
- Ability to fluently understand, read, write, and speak in the English language
- Highly focused on accuracy and completeness – detail‑oriented
- Kind, polite, good‑humored, welcoming of a diverse workplace, punctual, neat
- Highly motivated, well‑organized, energetic, and goal‑oriented

Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in data‑related research, data quality control, data quality assurance, and/or data‑driven reporting is strongly preferred. A multi‑year equivalent combination of relevant data experience may be considered an alternative to a college degree.
This is an in‑person position in the Tallahassee office of Florida Housing Finance Corporation. We do not offer remote work options.

Salary and Benefits: Anticipated hiring salary is $45,000 – $50,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Florida Housing provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, dental, vision, short and long‑term disability insurance, and other miscellaneous programs. Paid vacation, sick and personal leave; 11 paid holidays; and 401/457 retirement accounts.
