Permit Coordinator - REMOTE

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Permit Coordinator to manage data entry, traffic compliance, and permit-related processes in a remote capacity.

Summary

The position is responsible for data entry of driver trip records, processing suspended trips in the trip record imaging system, and backing up the permit desk several times a week. The role requires direct collaboration with state agencies, the SSC, field personnel, and other departmental employees.

Essential Functions
  • Key in paper documents and image-based trip records.
  • Communicate via email and conference calls with partners in India (WNS) to provide feedback on data‑entry processes.
  • Generate reports on duplicate trips and duplicate fuel charges.
  • Work effectively with team members to meet monthly departmental goals.
  • Collaborate with the permit desk to manage daily permit functions and support backup responsibilities, coordinating with field and state agencies.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Handle the daily and yearly bulk fuel processing.
  • Assist in the permit renewal process.
Education
  • High‑school diploma or GED with basic financial accounting or equivalent.
Experience
  • At least one year of data‑entry experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Problem‑solving abilities.
  • Time‑management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Capacity to develop professional relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Independent and collaborative work style.
  • Self‑driven, flexible, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Detail oriented.
Knowledge
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
Compensation

Hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $21.00, with potential eligibility for annual bonuses, commissions, and long‑term incentive plans based on performance.
