What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Prepare and facilitate the submission of complex grant proposals in a fast-paced environment
  • Confer with faculty members to guide proposal plans and development strategies
  • Create detailed budgets and ensure compliance with sponsor and university guidelines
  • Act as a liaison with funding organizations and other university departments
  • Provide ongoing pre- and post-award support for research projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in administrative work, including two (2) years of grant/contract administration support
  • Experience working with federal rules, regulations, and policies related to grants and contracts
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professionalism with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Experience submitting proposals in a deadline-driven environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience assisting faculty with various types of proposals, including interdisciplinary and multi-site projects
  • Familiarity with online submission portals and computer systems
  • Knowledge of university accounting regulations
