Position: Administrative Specialist 2, Confidential (Family Practice Division)

SALARY: The salary range for this position is $52,593.71 to $86,166.03 for Schedule A, and $52,593.71 to $81,857.73 for Schedule

B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June​3,​2014, are considered Schedule​A.

Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June​3,​2014, are considered Schedule​B.

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a motivated and organized individual with excellent interpersonal, time management and customer service skills to provide administrative support in the Family Practice Division. Attention to detail, accuracy, professionalism, and strong writing and project management skills as well as honesty and integrity are essential components of the position. The selected candidate will draft correspondence, reports, manuals, protocols, standard operating procedures, and other materials.

The selected candidate will also coordinate meetings, support projects, programs and training sessions, coordinate agendas, maintain data and respond to internal and external inquiries. The selected candidate will also coordinate updates to reports and manuals, support various committees, work in coordination with the chief to maximize communication between the Family Practice Division and vicinage family division offices, and perform other duties as assigned.

REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

  • Provide lead administrative support to unit chief including calendar maintenance, meeting preparation, team operations, technical support, and project development, tracking and monitoring.
  • Develop and format draft policies, protocols, initiatives, standard operating procedures, correspondence, reports, guides, and brochures. Format and distribute memorandum and other written materials on behalf of the assistant director, chief and supervisor.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding policy and procedure, make referrals as appropriate, understand court rules and procedures specific to customer needs, and comprehend Family Division case types, teams, and roles.
  • Manage unit programs including collecting and analyzing information for completeness and accuracy, verifying data against source documents, preparing recommendations, and maintaining information.
