Location: Remote (Local in Lansdale, PA or South Field, MI)

Overview

The Collections Assistant plays a key role in supporting the collections or accounts receivable department by managing overdue accounts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with clients or customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
  • Contact clients to discuss overdue payments and develop repayment plans.
  • Maintain detailed records of collection activity and client interactions.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding billing and account status.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Prepare and send regular reports on collection status.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks to support the efficiency of the collections team.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Familiarity with billing systems and collection techniques.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Previous experience in collections, billing, or customer service is preferred.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
