Office of the CEO Manager (12‑month contract)

Your Role in Supporting Our MembersAs a Manager in the Office of the CEO, you will be a key operational partner responsible for enabling the effective functioning of the CEO’s office. Working with the Executive Assistant and Advisor to the CEO, you will coordinate executive administration, governance, stakeholder engagement, and internal teams—all while setting standards and providing leadership to the executive administrative function. This is a 12‑month contract role based at Vancity head office, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
You will work in‑office four to five days a week, with flexibility to work from home as needed.
- Anticipate needs, provide timely updates, and manage administrative support functions for the CEO—including information triage, meeting management, minute‑taking, travel plans, and material preparation.
- Provide oversight, guidance, direction, training, and/or mentorship to the executive administrative team to enhance service levels for executives and senior leaders.
- Facilitate meetings that enable team connection, timely updates, and a platform for discussion to allow seamless support at the executive and senior leader level.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders—including members, community/business leaders, partners, and the public—to support the CEO’s community engagement and advocacy.
- Monitor the effectiveness of ELT meetings and one‑on‑one meetings with the CEO, identify opportunities, and suggest improvements to optimize capacity and agenda focus.
- Coordinate consolidation of the budget and financial reporting requirements on behalf of the Office of the CEO.
- Participate in the Executive Support to the Executive Leadership Team Committee.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting C‑suite executives in a complex organization, with demonstrated exposure to executive office operations.
- Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating teams
, with the ability to influence without formal authority. - Strong understanding of governance and executive committee processes
. - Project management experience or certification considered an asset.
- High degree of judgment, discretion, and professionalism
. - Interest in leveraging technology to improve workflows and service delivery.
- An excellent communicator

- Tech savvy
—comfortable with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and other communication platforms. - A natural multitasker
—comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects with competing deadlines.
This role offers a salary range of $81,200 to $122,000 per annum. The base pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. You may also be eligible for an annual incentive program.
