Position: Grant Specialist I (Remote) - Department of Medicine

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Manage pre-award duties, including proposal preparation, budgeting, and compliance
  • Serve as liaison between faculty and department administrators to ensure adherence to guidelines
  • Compile and submit grant applications following agency and university standards

    Provide internal notices of award and assist with annual agency reports
  • Coordinate with post-award units to implement contracts and manage grant transfers
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in grant administration or research management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Familiarity with Research Management Systems (RMS) and SUBS System
  • Skills in accounting, analytical thinking, and grant applications
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Workday software
  • Knowledge of current research administration regulations and guidelines
