The person hired into this position may request to work up to four days per week remotely
, with potential for additional remote work in the future. Our office is located in downtown Madison at 201
E. Washington Ave. near a wide variety of restaurants and food carts, live music and events, the farmer's market, B-cycle rentals, lakefront parks, the Capital City bike path, and multiple bus routes.

Position SummaryTraining will be provided to assist new employees become proficient in performing the tasks such as creating and maintaining claims information (electronic and hard copy); recording and routing incoming correspondence using document management software; and computing disability compensation due in disputed cases.

Salary InformationStarting pay is $20.63 per hour, plus an exemplary benefits package:

Classifications & Other DetailsThe classification title for this position is Worker's Compensation Assistant 2 (schedule 02, range 10). A 12-month probationary period will be required. This position is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.
Remote WorkEmployees with approved remote and hybrid-remote work arrangements are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin
