Primary Purpose of the RoleTo provide support to the claims staff and to perform other office tasks depending on the client program.
Essential Responsibilities- Sets up and enters new claims into the claims management system.
- Inputs and reviews notes/diaries in the claims management system as instructed.
- Processes payments.
- Processes mail; handles filing, faxing and photocopying.
- Reviews, prepares, creates, and/or sends letters, reports, and forms.
- Answers and initiates telephone calls, sets up medical appointments, and may provide customer service as required.
- Other activities/projects as assigned including the preparation and distribution of computer reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization’s quality program(s).
- Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. - Experience:
Six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. - Licensing / Jurisdiction Knowledge:
Southeast.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($13.50 - $18.00 per hour).
