This is not a support role in the traditional sense.
It is an executive-level partnership designed for someone who understands how time, access, and reputation function at the executive tier—and who can deliver flawless execution independently, even without direct visibility.
You will function as an essential extension of the founder's private office, collaborating closely with the Chief of Staff. Your core directive is both straightforward and exacting: ensure that every external engagement involving the founder—whether email, meeting, interview, or public appearance is deliberate, thoroughly prepared, and managed with sound judgment. This position demands autonomous decision-making, sharp instincts, and the ability to act decisively without continuous oversight.
The role is fully remote, yet deeply integrated. You will be closely aligned with the founder's daily operations, handling high‑stakes external communication, safeguarding focus, and ensuring that only the most meaningful interactions occur at the appropriate moment. If you have previously supported a high-profile CEO, hedge fund principal, or ultra‑high‑net‑worth individual—and you understand which engagements drive impact and which do not—this position will resonate.

If you require physical proximity, granular guidance, or frequent validation, it will not.
This role exists to safeguard the founder's most critical resources: time and reputation. If you know how to operate at that standard with precision, discretion, and professionalism—particularly in a remote capacity—we would like to hear from you.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage the founder's inbox and calendar, exercising decisive judgment to triage high-volume external requests.
  • Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to synchronize scheduling, strategic priorities, and meeting preparation.
  • Compose, refine, and ghostwrite executive communications that convey clarity, authority, and strategic intent.
  • Act as the primary liaison for senior external contacts, including CEOs, investors, advisors, and media representatives.
  • Guarantee the founder enters every meeting, interview, and public engagement fully briefed, with appropriate context and follow‑up.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Seeking granular instructions or continuous approval for routine decisions.
  • Functioning as a passive calendar administrator without contextual awareness or judgment.
  • Escalating every matter for resolution by others.
  • Interpreting "remote" as a reduction in accountability or performance standards.
  • Performing work that lacks precision, polish, or consistent follow‑through.

Private Office Director Key Responsibilities

Safeguard and enhance the founder's impact by applying independent judgment to manage time, access, and external-facing communication.

Basic Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience supporting senior executives, founders, or UHNW principals.
  • Direct ownership of inboxes and calendars for high-profile individuals.
  • Proven experience managing external-facing, executive-level communications.
  • Exceptional written communication—concise, confident, and authoritative.
  • Demonstrated discretion in sensitive, NDA-bound environments.
  • Strong independent judgment and comfort making decisions without constant oversight.
  • U.S.

-based and able to operate with high availability aligned to senior-executive rhythms.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Background as an Executive Assistant, Executive Business Partner, or private office lead supporting a publicly visible CEO.
  • Chief of Staff, family office, or private investment office experience.
  • Exposure to finance, tech, media, or political environments where reputation and perception are paramount.
