The Travel Clerk III will be a remote position supporting the Equipment Redistribution & Divestiture (ERDS) contract at three Army Continuous Transformation (CT) focused locations:
Fort Bragg, Fort Hood, and Fort Carson, as well as 11 Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS) locations during Mobile ERDS Team (MET) missions. The role involves arranging and planning various modes of travel and securing lodging reservations to meet the travel needs of ERDS personnel. Planning requires coordination with CT sites to determine major travel modes with different carriers and routes to move MET personnel to and from the CT and MET sites.

The travel clerk will follow detailed instructions to provide proposals and quotes based on quality, cost, or other contract criteria and recommend service providers and/or suppliers best suited to meet the ERDS requirements. The role ensures procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations. It requires a strategic mindset, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to drive financial and operational success.

Employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

$20.00/hour and $5.09 Health & Welfare for each hour worked.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Procurement Analyst and Procurement Specialist on the ERDS contract, performing all aspects of the travel clerk role.
  • Review and analyze procurement requirements for internal and external activities in major programs across the CT and MET sites.
  • Communicate effectively with all ERDS sites and activities to correctly define purchasing requirements and identify approved or new procurement sources.
  • Assist with appropriate and compliant procurement, leasing, and rental of vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with FAR requirements and supporting Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR).
  • Provide support for purchase requisitions for Outgoing Funding Documents (OFDs), incremental funding, and contracts.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, assist with billing, provide general accounting support, and handle other office duties and special projects as assigned with minimal oversight.
  • Review and understand basic contract documents.
  • Apply FAR principles and JTR cost guidance, assist individuals in completing forms and cover letters, support formal funding requests, coordinate issue resolution, and track request status.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing materials for meetings, presentations, training sessions; draft correspondence and prepare reports as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of work experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Refined computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Email.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others and work independently.
  • Ability to assess, interpret, and apply government standards, specifications, and handbooks to the unique requirements of tasking.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED.
