Overview

The KPC Kenai River Campus Student Services Office is looking for a student employee to assist new and returning students and the public s is a Student Services Information Specialist Level 1, Step 14, $13.38/hour. The position is for up to 20 hours/week during the semester and possibly up to 40 hours/week during the summer. The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual, demonstrate professional reception and phone etiquette, work effectively under pressure, and maintain student and records confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Assist new and returning students and the public with information and services at the Student Services Office.
  • Provide customer service and support while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Current KPC student taking 6 or more credits and maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA.
  • Strong customer service skills, reliability, punctuality, and professional reception.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining database systems is preferred.
  • Commitment to remain at KPC for two years or longer.
Position Details

This position is located on the Kenai River Campus in Soldotna. It is a part‑time Student Assistant 1 position; you must be enrolled in at least 6 University of Alaska credits be eligible, and class schedule will be accommodated. The University of Alaska reserves the right to require on‑site work; hybrid and remote work may be approved for employees based in Alaska at the University's discretion.
