Sr. Lead Document Controller – Remote, Boise/Donnelly,
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that an appropriate document control management system is implemented and maintained.
- Managing and overseeing documents for a particular project, both documents received by the project team, and documents issued by the project team, in support of the Project Controls Manager and/or Project Manager.>
- Ensuring the proper documents are created and approved by the relevant project personnel.
- Overseeing the numbering system, issue and distribution and filing of documents is adhered to, including system and document checks.
- Ensuring that documents are appropriately stored and backed up, and any retention policies are followed.
- Improving document control practices and meet legal records control requirements.
- Receiving and collecting project correspondences and communication from contractors to the project management team.
- Responding to the requests for documents and distributing them as needed.
- Assisting team members in using the document control management system.
- Maintains and ensures confidentiality at all times.
- Ensuring the health and safety of its employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Respecting local culture and values and supporting the local community.
- Protecting the environment.
- Striving to be an exemplary corporate citizen.
- Prior document control lead experience (preferably a minimum of 7-10+ years) in project teams managing large heavy industrial projects (ideally mining projects), or multidisciplinary construction projects in other sectors.
- Hands‑on experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail together with analytical and organizational skills.
- Work Location:
Remote, Boise or Donnelly office. - Ability to travel to project site and Toronto, Canada (passport assistance provided) up to 20‑25%.
- 6‑month Contract to Perm.
- Pay Range: $50‑65/hr (negotiable).
